大元のマスターはカセットテープだと思いますが、
テープのよれや、ピッチのおかしい箇所があります。

モノラル録音のようで、中域主体の音質です。
中低域は250Hzあたりから急激に少なくなっていて、
低域成分が少なくボトムが感じられません。

ステージからもやや遠く、
AMラジオのような音質です。

ただ、そういった中でも意外とギターは聞き取れるので、
Steve Vaiマニア向けには悪くないです。(^^;


Steve Vai

Whitesnake時代の、Steve Vaiです。
Whitesnakeに加入するにあたっては賛否両論ありましたが、
個人的には結構好きで良く聴いていていましたし、
コピーして弾いていたので思い入れがあります。

加入時点では既に楽曲は出来上がっていて、
腱鞘炎でギターを弾けないAdrian Vandenbergの変わりに、
ギターパートをレコーディングした訳ですが、
それでもしっかりバンドをSteve Vaiの色に染めています。

前作「サーペンス・アルバス／白蛇の紋章」の
とんでもない成功でかなりプレッシャーがあったと思いますが、
賛否両論ありながらも成功したアルバムだと思います。

この音源のSteve Vaiのギターソロでは、
「For the Love of God」
「Audience Is Listening」
の2曲ソロアルバムから演奏して、きっちり宣伝してます。(^_^)

Whitesnakeの音源ならどんなものでも集めたい、

中低域が極端に少ないわけでも無いのですが
中高域よりにピークがあり、
そちらに引っ張られてAMラジオ的な音質になってます。
